During the Pop Montreal festival we spoke to Vincent Moon about creating for La Blogotheque’s “Les Concerts à Emporter” (Take-Away Shows), and followed him on his journey to capture the band Clues as they played through the dusk in a bus graveyard.

Our good friend The Awesome Australian, Tim Kelly, has brought us into the eyes and mind of a Montreal local musician known simply as Beaver. An enigmatic performer and story teller reminiscent of my imaginary 4 year old nephew, Beaver has tapped into that smushy place in our chests called ‘the heart’ and convinced us that it is OK to believe in hipster fairy tales.

La Fee Verte, Montreal’s newest lingerie manufacturer, is taking a young new approach to an old industry, the Shmata trade (aka. Fashion). Adam Sakara, the company’s founder, wants to see women’s wear with fresh looks on “classic technical garments.”

P.S. La Fee Verte translates to: The Green Fairy… It’s an absinth thing.

King Khan and The Shrines at the Sala Rossa in Montreal

Native Montrealer King Khan, a.k.a. Black Snake, played the Sala Rossa on July 25 ’08, to a fun sweaty mess of a crowd. Complete with mosh pit, crowd surfing, a chicken outfit and broken beer bottles, Khan destroyed our innocence with a soulful auditory assault.
